Intimacy alchemist
slow sex pioneer, Voice dialogue facilitator
Katjalisa is a living, breathing permission slip to explore the depths of your inner world and erotic truth.
A true pioneer in bridging the academic and the spiritual, she weaves rigorous inquiry with embodied wisdom — inviting you into a world where intellect meets intuition, and where erotic energy becomes a sacred teacher.
Highly trauma-informed and deeply embodied, Katjalisa brings a rare blend of academic insight, therapeutic skill, and somatic intelligence to her work with individuals, couples, and groups.
She holds a degree in Anthropology (UvA) and an MA in Transformational Psychology (ITP), and spent nearly a decade researching “sex as a good of consumption” in Amsterdam’s Red Light District — where she first introduced the concept of Slow Sex.
Her approach is a unique synthesis of Voice Dialogue, Somatic Experiencing, Bioenergetics, and Mindfulness, woven with embodied practices like yoni massage, Nonviolent Communication, and Thai Massage Therapy. As a certified AcroYoga teacher, she brings play, trust, and physical connection into her sessions and retreats — helping participants rediscover safety and aliveness in their bodies.
Katjalisa creates brave, loving spaces where people feel truly seen.
Spaces where taboos become doorways, and eroticism becomes a sacred path to healing.
Her groundbreaking work with sexual fantasies as therapeutic portals is at the heart of her upcoming book:
“Sexual Fantasies as a Portal to Wholeness.”
Raw, real, and radically supportive, she invites you to break free from old patterns, reclaim your vitality, and reimagine intimacy. Her work is rooted in deep respect for trauma, pleasure, and the relational field — guiding people from survival mode toward soulful, embodied relating.
As the pioneering spirit and thought leader of the Slow Sex Movement, Katjalisa stands at the intersection of academia, spirituality, and somatic healing. Her foundation in social and cultural anthropology and transformational psychology gives her the rare ability to translate complex psychological and cultural insights into lived, embodied experience.
Her teachings are nourished by the wisdom of diverse traditions, lineages, and communities she has studied with across the world, and by the mentorship of Francine Oomen, Robert Stamboliev, and Sanderijn van der Doef. She continues to collaborate closely with leading experts in somatic sex education, trauma and regression therapy, and deep ecology.
Known for her exceptional space-holding, Katjalisa guides both large groups and intimate circles with warmth, clarity, and presence. She offers hands-on tools that empower people to create their own sense of safety and connection within any experience. Her facilitation is playful and precise — skillfully weaving the energies in the room into moments of insight, release, and transformation.
In her personal life, Katjalisa embodies what she teaches. She lives in a committed partnership that embraces conscious openness and truth, exploring intimacy as a sacred practice of growth and attunement. She is also a devoted mother of a teenage son, continually dancing between love, family, and purpose.
